We understand that 2021 will continue to be a year of uncertainty when it comes to planning your holiday. We want you to be able to book with confidence so that you can look forward to your stay with friends and family.

Bookings for all our cottages are subject to the following terms and conditions:

To secure a booking a 20% deposit/full rental payment (if within 30 days) is required. The booking will be confirmed in writing with the date for when the balance is due, i.e. 30 days before the start of your holiday. We regret that the deposit, and once paid the outstanding balance, are both non refundable in the event of cancellation except when due to UK government travel restrictions related to Covid 19 – see below. However if we secure another booking we will deduct an administrative charge of £20 per booking and the balance of any payments will be refunded to you.

If you need to cancel within 30 days of your booking because any of your party are ill (including Covid) or are required or recommended to self isolate we would expect you to have your own travel insurance (e.g. from the Post Office or Trailfinders) for your own protection and we would not offer a refund.

If you need to cancel solely due to UK government Covid 19 travel restrictions we can offer you the following options:

• Transfer to a later date in 2021 or 2022
• Subject to availability, we will do our best to help you move your booking to a later date in 2021 or 2022 at the same accommodation with no admin fees. If the new date falls into a higher season than your original booking then you will need to pay for any additional cost. If it is in a lower season, we will refund you the difference.

Full Refund

We will offer a full refund if either we need to cancel the property you have booked as it is closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak or if you cancel your booking because UK government public health measures mean that it is unlawful for your party to travel to or make use of the accommodation you booked.

Cottage Occupancy – General Conditions

The Contract for a short-term holiday rental will be between Anne and Peter Davey (Longstone Holiday Cottages) and the person making the booking and all members of the holiday party. UK Law will govern the Contract. The contract of hire is not effective until we have processed the deposit. Your placing of a booking and our acceptance assumes that you have read and agree to comply with the conditions below –

• You should not arrive before 4pm on the commencement date and leave by 10am on the day of departure unless agreed otherwise.
  No more than the maximum number of persons stated may occupy the property and pets, where permitted, must be notified at the time of booking.
• Strictly no smoking.
• The hirer and party members are expected to take all reasonable care of the cottage and its contents and must leave it clean and tidy and dispose of recycling, as advised, at the end of the stay.
• Damage to the property and breakages must be paid for.
• We regret that we cannot accept liability for personal injury, loss, theft or damage to the property sustained during your stay.
• All party members agree to the reasonable and lawful usage of the WiFi service provided.
  The owners/their agents shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. However, if you have any problem or cause for complaint, it is essential that you contact us immediately to give us the chance to resolve it. We value your custom and want you to return.
